Meet the Team

Andy went straight into the construction industry from College, becoming Shepherd Construction’s youngest Site Manager at the time. Having left the Shepherd Group he set up a property development company before co-founding, in 1996, with his wife Rebecca, the Acorn business that has evolved into what Acorn Structures has become today. 

With an extensive knowledge of design, product capability and technical specification Andy has been the ideas man behind some of the UK’s most innovative temporary structures over the past decade including the award-winning Super Structure, launched at Creamfields in 2016, the original design of Acorn’s Mega Structure.  

His clear understanding of how temporary structures, from the mega to the minute, will work together to enhance events, projects and production space has led to Andy’s reputation as a thought-leader in the staging and temporary structure sector. 

Personal Acorn Structures Highlight:  

Rebecca started her working life in the banking industry before running businesses in both the retail and hospitality sector. In 1996 she co-founded, with her husband Andy, the original Acorn company that Acorn Structures has become today. 

AAT qualified, Rebecca oversees the Accounts, Sales, HR and office administration at Acorn Structures. Her level headed approach to business ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the company. Rebecca’s extensive knowledge of the staging and temporary structures industry combined with her financial expertise has been a key factor in the growth and development of Acorn Structures over the past decade.
